Osh State Medical University came into existance in 1992. Earlier it was known as Osh Pedagogical Institute back in 1951 when it was started. Osh State Medical University is recognized by WHO as well as MCI and is a government university of Kyrgyzstan.
Each year it receives aspiring medical students from around 20 countries who come with the dream of becoming doctors. Osh State Medical University has the most number of foreign students in it's English medium medical course among allmedical colleges in Kyrgyzstan.
Osh State Medical University has well maintained & highly equipped hospitals for students to gain necessary skills. Several doctors that have passed out from Osh are currently working in various parts of the USA, Europe & Asia.
Osh State Medical University offers limited programs which are as follows : General Medicine, Stomatology, Paediatrics, Pharmacy, etc. However, the most number of admissions take place in medical faculty of it.
All the above courses are offered in Russian medium with General Medicine available in English medium too. The teaching faculty is highly experienced and hold reputed degrees in their fields.
